Ethically & Sustainably made by us in Peru. Adriana is Peruvian, Laerke is Danish. Together they founded AYNI Corp, which today houses the label AYNI, the certification center AYNI Certify and the sourcing agency AYNI Design Lab.

It all started with a common interest in responsible business practices and how they could participate in sustainable developments involving everyone within the value chain.

Adriana and Laerke brought together Danish design, minimalism, sophistication and a conscious lifestyle and consumption model – combining it all with exclusive high-quality Peruvian materials and ancient handicraft traditions.

Ayni’s first collection was launched in Paris in 2009 and since then the brand has presented collections in fashion capitals all around the world, including Copenhagen, Paris, London and New York.



The AYNI woman is educated, political, and aware of what’s going on in the world. She’s a conscious consumer. She supports ethical movements and is aware of where all her products are made – from cosmetics that are not tested on animals, to organic produce from the local farmers market, to ethically and sustainably made clothing.

She’s a multi-tasker- a career-woman and a mother, who also finds time to do social work. She’s Latin meets Scandinavian. She speaks several languages. She’s a professional nomad – you’ll find her in all the chicest and unexplored destinations from Jackson Hole to Jaipur.


AYNI was created out of a common love for high-quality products, nature’s finest materials and a strong social, economic and environmental engagement.

All their products are designed and made in Peru, a country with one of the world’s fastest-growing economies, using only the most exclusive Peruvian materials such as the luxurious baby alpaca and the strong Pima cotton.

Through Ayni they seek to set an example for the rest of the fashion and apparel industry, by showing how ethics and aesthetics can join hands and encourage a more conscious lifestyle and consumption.


AYNI means “today for you, tomorrow for me” in Quechua, the ancient language of the Inca empire.

The word embodies the concepts of cooperation and reciprocity. In the past, it was used between the members of a community, who worked together and helped one another, confident that someday they will receive the same help in return.

Today, AYNI continues to preserve the meaning and values of its name by focusing on honoring ancient traditions, using local materials and altering the production model to promote responsible production.
